Does it feel like it's been that long?

  I haven't gone to a meeting in 8 years (except for 1 funeral - never again). Personally it feels like it's been 10 years since I've gone. So much has happened since my last meeting. I've forgotten so many bible scriptures, doctrines, and even parts of the JW language. I can't wait until I've been out longer than I've been in (13 years). I'll be 31 when I surpass that time, and my JW experience will begin to look smaller in my life experience.

  What about you? Does it feel like it has been that long since you went to a KH? More? Less? Have you been out of the troof longer than being in it? How old will you be when you finally reach that point where you're out longer than in (if applicable)?

  Nos (wit da bow in yo haid), I can understand how you feel. I've forgotten the basic doctrines, routines, rituals, etc., but not the nauseous feelings I get when my JW relative says "You KNOW it's the truth." When the flu-like symptoms at the mere mention of the religion go away, *then* I'll know it's been long enough.

  I know that feeling when they say we are so close to the end. It turns my stomach. Its been 3 years for me but I still remember what the hall smelled like.

  I'm just so proud of myself that I haven't even been inside a KH since October, 1993; and my last meeting was June/93. I'm past the ten year mark and I will never go back.

  I still have 10 years to go to be out as long as I was in. I will be 44 when that happens. The last time I went I got insulted so I never went again.

  I've been out since Aug. 29, 1998.... my how time flys when you're having fun!

  The things I read and the changes since then( J.W. doctrine.. and J.W. scandals) is mind boggling.
