The Yearbook 2004 (p.13-15) says that there is a "Course in Improved English Comprehension" for the Watchtower Translators. Some people have been trained in Patterson. In 2002 and 2003 they traveled around the world and conducted three-month-trainings with the translation teams in the branch offices. 1,660 translators for more than 150 languages have been put thru this program.

I wonder why translators need a "Course in Improved English Comprehension". Is it because they are not qualified enough to understand an English text? Or is it because the original English Watchtower is so full of loaded language and between-the-lines-meassages that the translators have a hard time translating it?
