Chappelle's show RULES

Dave Chappelle, star and creator of Chappelle's Show is the best comedian currently active. I enjoy his show on a regular basis. He also has one of the best HBO stand-up specials EVER.

For those who are not familiar with him by name he is black, american, a bit thin, shaved head, narrow jaw with a big ol' set of lips and something of a higher voice.

His show is a sketch comedy show along the lines of Mad TV.

Some of the best bits he has are :"The Real World" -- In reverse where the white guy gets driven crazy by a bunch of unruly black housemates.

"Trading Spouses" a spoof of 'trading spaces' where the man swaps families instead.

"Slow motion" shows how most things look better in slow motion. (great toilet scene on that one)

"Dave Chappelle, by dave chappelle" the "real life" story of Dave Chappelle a la parody of "Antwone Fisher"

"Race Draft" spoof of the Football draft where the races draft famous half breeds and turn coats into one specific race officially.

Chappelle has a great White Guy impression. Much reversed from the typical black guy doing a white guy. Chapplle has a high voice so for white guys he lowers his voice and anunciates his words very seriously. Also his Tiger Woods is spot on.

and of course Charlie Murphy's (Eddie Murphy's brother) anecdotes. This is where Chappelle's show recreates Charlie Murphy anecdotes from the cocaine days of the early 80s, starring dave Chappelle as usually Rick James or Prince and Charlie Murphy as Charlie Murphy.

anyway its a great show on Comedy Central new shows on Wednesday after SouthPark so 10:30 pm?

LOL, First...........Me and my 17 yr old son watch the Chappelle show and also watched his stand up the other nite on HBO or one of those channels. He is funny,,,,,,,,,hiliarious and is dead on about the things he says. We live in a small town and the" law" is racist, not only to the African American's but as Dave Chappell says,,,,,the "white guy" in the mix of the group.

Did you not laugh at the spreading of the "cheeks" as identification??? He said try that at your local bank when they ask to see your ID........hehe.

I saw him live last year and I always loved Half Baked. His show, though, has really put him in another league...I loved the episode where he was spoofing the 'hurry up' light from the Oscars...also, the real life Grand Theft Auto skit (where he is the guy from the videogame) was another good one.

I loved the "Trading Spouses" skit.......funny as hell. I also like it when he is the "white" black guy doing the news. I also love his experiences as a black man being stopped by the cops , compared to his white friend being stopped by the cops. My husband said he saw him interviewed in real life and his best friend is a white guy,,,,,,,,so as they say.......the best comedy, the best humor is things that happen in real life.

I would love to go to dinner with Dave,,,,,,,,talk about laughing all nite..very cool guy. We would no doubt be thrown out of the restaurant.

Charlie Murphy is a serious talent too. I had no idea. I am so surprised I havnt seen him do anything until now. I guess it took Dave to give Charlie a job where he could show his stuff because he is the best of the support cast, very versatile.

^^^^^^^^^ That is the funniest skit I have seen on the show yet...the part where Rick James slaps Murphy (and Charlie's explanation afterward) was some great material. Surprised me that I had never even heard of Eddie Murphy's brother...

The look on Charlie Murphy's face after he got slapped was GENIUS. I think it dethrones the moment when Charlie Murphy shanked the white kid's dad on reverse "The Real World" and then passes off the shank all smooth and as if nothing happend leaps onto the couch from behind, as the funniest moment.

"Hey its Darkness. Charlie Murphy Come over here! I Got a JOKE! WHAT DID THE FIVE FANGAS SAY TA THE FACE? SLAP!" (slap!!!!!)

"You KAINT slap a Mayan. I mean even back hundreds 'a' yiz ago in like Paris a man slap another man they DUEL after that shit ya know! Like someone's got ta go."

You also gotta love the kick Charlie did on Rick after he dented his forehead with "unity" and then when Rick goes flyin into the mirror-- genius.

Another great moment was when Prince beat Charlie Murphy's posse with the final dunk and Dave(Prince) is just looking at the camera hanging from the rim and then he lets go of the rim in slow motion and stays. And then looks down. And then back up at the camera, head slightly tilted and slowly descends. That was another great one.

But I laughed hard and OUT LOUD at "Slow Motion" on the toilet.

Or when Tiger Woods (dave) says "For shizzle" with the buck teeth -- oh man. I swear thats Tiger.
