Possible reasons for a JW not watching 'Survivor'
Ritualism
Occasional 'sexual' content
Homosexual people on the show
Evolutionary (anthropological) views of society
Game shows' encouraging greed
Huge 'worldly' popularity of the show
It is screened on a meeting night, perhaps
I suppose any, or all, of these might explain why some JWs might not watch 'Survivor'. But does anyone know of real JWs who have given such reasons?

Those are all the reasons why I did not miss one single episode. I was addicted! To make matters worse, it fell on the night of our school and service meeting. That means I missed 13 Thursday night meetings in a row, more if you add the ones I missed before and after. Come to think of it, I've only been to 1 Thursday nite meeting in about 6 months. No wonder I'm "spiritually sick."
P.S. Does this mean I'm not a "real JW?"
That's ok OrangeBlossom, you can make up for it attending each and EVERY meeting for the next 6 months, PLUS all the meetings of the nearest congregation to you.
That should make up for it!

Wow, great minds think alike! I was going to post a topic on this today.
What's the deal anyway? I've noticed the same thing. Survivor is bad. Why don't they just save time and just say that anything popular or recent is bad.
I love how classical music is ok, even though the artists were just as pagan or gay or disfunctional for their times as modern rock and rap artists. Cracks me up.

What do you think of Wagner's music? I love it. But does the fact he was a full-on Nazi change anything? It certainly makes me reticent to play it on sunday morning while washing the car (not that I ever do wash the car). Wagner is pretty hot with thr Jews as you may no. Hot as in NOT.

One of these day's I'm going to have to really research the lives of each of the mainstream classical composers and find out all the dirt on them and then post it to some web site so that once again the dub's can see what hypicritical bullshit it all is.

that is one the reasons why i left. who can tell you what to watch on t.v.? gee, just think of the lucky stiffs who sit around and watch what ever they want so that they can determine what is good to watch and what is not.
