What do most non-Witness Christian religions believe about heaven? Do they believe people will come back to the earth after being in heaven?
Keep it simple. I'm an idiot too :)

Hey Joel:
Most non-jw Churches believe that when we die our soul that lives inside of our bodies will either go to heaven or hell. Some others believe i places like purgatory too which is sorta like beng inbetween the two. Like not good enough for heaven, but not bad enough for hell. That's about all i know dude.

Well, most non-Witness churches are a little less quick to draw lots of pictures detailing exactly what the hereafter will be like, so I can't speak outside of my own experience.
I think it is a mistake to separate heaven and earth. The way I look at the imagery in Revelation, John is talking about the "new heaven and the new earth" not really as separate places, and why should they be? Earth in the midst of heaven, an integral part of it all.
The bible teaches us that the spirit goes to God in heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:21) and we stay in heaven, in the heavenly city. At the end of the thousand year reign of Christ Jesus, that city will come back down to earth, so there will be heaven on earth
