I am drawing from the collected wisdom of this board, which has never let me down before! :)
I'm doing some research for a school project and was wondering if anyone had any sources (academic, news, articles, anything "legit") discussing the relationship between a person's religion, education, and political party -- or any combination of those. I do have the list ranking each religion's percentage of college-educated members, but I'm having a hard time finding anything linking these to political party. This will be more of a "systems" approach, not a linear "this causes that" type of project, so any ideas or links would be much appreciated.
Thanks. ;)

Since this is for school...:)
Google is the best way to start learning about this. You might want to go to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life (www.pewforum.org )
When I type in "religion political party education survey" in Google I got lotsa interesting looking hits.
Note: You may get lots of opinions offered to you. DO not cite opinions as anything but personal opinions... but studies, surveys, and polls are great for your area of research.
Also be aware of the fact that there is less precision in surveys that ask people to self-identify with a denominiation... people seem to select stronger principles in those surveys than they actually live in real life.

The following data are from "One Nation under God. Religion in Contemporary American Society", by B.A. Kosmin & S.P. Lachman. Mind you, the book was published in 1993 so I assume some of this information might be outdated.

I guess the attached files might be illegible. In that case, see:
