The Bible, (as well as Other Ancient Documents) can help us understand the developement (evolution) of man's consciousness of his world and how his conscious thinking has changed.
It is a myth; but,,,,, myths, teach us alot,,, about man's progression of consciousness.
Yes, I agree. Myths do serve a purpose. Although Myths helps us to close our eyes to reality, they help us have hope in a world of chaos.
Interesting thing about Myths - Before the Greeks beliefs evolved into Mythology, the Greeks really believe in it. I think, many years from now, the religious beliefs that encompasses the world will be viewed as Myths, and a new belief will dominate the landscape.
To believe is human.

I think that no matter how intelligent we get we will still use myth, like the atom and molecule myth, the myth that we are just matter, the myth of the law of motion, these myth help define us as to our growth awareness or conciousness of the world which we appear seperate for some strange reason.
Larry, It's already happening! But like the bible says, its a "thief that came in the night".

Thanks Frankie. What you posted is entirely true. If people would just look upon the bible and other such documents as such, then I believe we'd all be a bit more balanced. The need for religous institutions would fade away, and we would learn to look within ourselves and establish our connection with the "source". Only then, can true spirituallity be achieved and we realize we are now only physical hosts to our Soul.
