For those always in somebody else's car

I always took my car to go to the hall and most of the times in the field service. All I had in return was maybe 1 dollar of gas per person for a whole morning in the field service. Often it crossed my mind, if I had a parking ticket or any kind of bad luck, if it was only me that should pay for it, or should those in the car also chip in.

Was just paying a part of the gas cost enough?

If you get a parking ticket out in service going to someone else's call, they should definitely pay. Ever meet one of those people who would never drive? The guy that drives his pick-up to service every time? I knew someone who went so far as to have his parents drive him to service (he was 35 and owned his home) to avoid driving.

Side-point: I'm so pissed off. I wanted a pick-up truck, but last year I bought a four-door to be a good little dubbie. Now I'm out and I still want a pick-up but I'm stuck with this kingdom car. It's nice enough, but it doesn't serve my purposes too well. Know anyone that wants to buy a Mazda 626? Great for field service!!

I suppose they should chip in for the ticket if they pressured you to park in an illegal space or assured you that you wouldn't get a ticket for parking somewhere illegal, but personally, I would never have parked in a no-parking zone even if someone wanted me to do so, especially a none-driver who may not be familiar with the laws pertaining to automobiles. Parking tickets seem like a completely avoidable cost.

The nitwit that is willing to take his/her car everytime should feel they are supporting the work of Jarhover and not quibble over a buck or two for gas or ask others to be responsible for his/her illegal parking. If this is so "great a cause" what's with the whining over a little sacrafice? Sheeeze what a contradiction...

In our congregation, we always slipped the driver a dollar (or more) or bought them the coffee break. It was that way when we moved there in 1970 and never changed. New ones picked up the custom too. I never thought about others maybe not getting reimbursed. I usually had about $5 after a day of driving my car.
