As one would struggle to free oneself from a twisted, tangle briar patch, its sharp thorns inflicting pain and suffering with every attempt to escape from the gnarled prison ---- so I struggled to free myself from the Watchtower's Society's twisted, tangled thinking patterns and doctrines, their threats, punishments, and implanted phobias inflicting pain and suffering with every attempt to escape from their convoluted psychological prison.

As stinging wounds from thornpricks heal, and those from penetrating lacerations produce scars that remain, so heals the emotional pain caused by my involvement with Jehovah's Witnesses -- though the scars may long be with me.

As roses rising above tangled vines, the blossoming of life --- the growth to development of one's full potential -- can occur when one is finally freed of the oppression of the Watchtower Society's organization of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Blueblades: Diane's book was the second "biography" of a former JW that I read after CC. I was so overwhelmed with her style of writing, her story and the accuracy of her information. It was awesome to read her experiences and to see how her life mirrored my own on many levels.
