Got a good question for regarding the WT book, "Life - How Did It Get Here? By Evolution or By Creation?"

This book quotes author Francis Hitchings(The Neck of The Giraffe)many times. Francis Hithcings is neither a scientist nor a geologist. Who is he? Hitchings is a paranormalist and an advocate for psychic evolution. He has written on Mayan Pyramid Power; believes evolution was directed by a cosmic force(aliens from another planet);is a member of the Society For Psychcal Research, The British Society of Dowsers, and The American Society of Dowsers. His books include: Earth Magic; Dowsing, The Psi Connection; Mysterious World; An Atlas of the Unexplained; Fraud, Mischief and the Supernatural. He claimed to be a member of the Royal Archaeological Institute but he was not. He implied that Paleontologist Stephen Jay Gould helped inthe writing of teh Neck of The Giraffe, which is false. Zoologist Richard Dawkins of the University of Oxford was also implied to have helped in writing the book but upon inquiry Dawkins knew nothing about Hitchings.

Hithcings is best known for his TV script writing for the British TV show "In Search of..." which is similiar to the American TV show "Unsolved Mysteries."

I would love to hear a JW's explanation of why this man is quoted so many times in a Watchtower publication.

"Well, I'm sure the brothers at Bethel researched it thoroughly. Why are you finding fault with the faithful and discreet slave? Don't you think that's arrogant?" - Response from Expatbrit's JW family.

Expatbrit, head thwacking against the monitor.

I guess you have to remember you're dealing with an organization that's immoral and unethical down to its very core. They have no compunction when it comes to opportunism.

In one place for example Tertullian is referred to as a "christian writer" and in another he is excoriated for being some kinda heretic. Just 'pends on the expediency of the moment.

As the WTBTS slouches to its unavoidable unraveling, it becomes more and more like the business executive who gives up and goes down to the place where the bums hang out. The clothes begin to get dirty and torn. The physical body begins to deterioriate. And in the end, nothing is left but a shell of the former man. Ruined and alone. So with the organization. They are on a long slow slide now that the central tennants of its defining prophecies have failed, and failed dramatically. They are like the emperor with his new clothes, daring anyone to notice that they are naked...and shivering.

If they hadn't destroyed so many lives, so many families, and hand't midlead so many - and all in the name of God, they would be pitiful. Instead, they are detestable, a failure, an utter failure that will soon be forgotten and finally disappear from the stage of human endeavor altogether.

    Good riddance.
