Why Do JWS celebrate Memorial on different day than everyone else?

    Jehovah's Witnesses have explained many times at the memorial's why they celebrate a day before the Jewish people celebrate passover. I do of course understand that tech, the jews are celebrating a different holiday than JWS. I found a simple explanation of this a year ago, but now cannot locate it. Anyone know why the JWS celebrate on a different day than anyone else?

    thanks shotgun, i read what all was said, and looked up what the WT said. I knew it was a simple answer, just could not explain it to my hubby.

    Because this is another way in which they can disassociated themselves with wordly religions, just like the fact they teach that Jesus was impaled on a stake instead of a cross. Really, does it make any difference?
