Can someone explain or point to an explanation of the early Bible Students' varying explanation of 1914?

I understand that various "Studies in the Scriptures" were changed 3-4 times to accommodate changes in the 1914 explanation!

see http://www.nsbible.org/sits_v2/v2s4.htm, for an example of 1 of the explanations.

based on the scripture at danial 4:16, the jws believed that the gentile times would end in 1914, and that armagedon would come at that time.. the gentile times did end in 1914, but armagedon did not come at that time. we have been living in the last days since 1914..

Thanks for those pointers! However, I recall reading somewhere that the year 1915 started to be promoted in addition to 1914, in the 2nd revision of Vol. II of Studies in the Scriptures, as my link above seems to indicate. Also, didn't the 3rd revision state that 1914 was the beginning of the Christ's manifestation, whereas the 1st/2nd release stated that 1914 would be the extreme limit of Christ fulfilling Dan. 2:44?
