I know a few have been posted from time to time, but it's a rather hard thing to search for! Does anyone have links to sites (or topics) that have pictures from the different dub magazines? Both "paradise" and the end of the world depictions would be quite useful. Thanks!

Maybe this will get you started:

I was just about to type that I only have "end of world" not paradise, but actually some of the pics manage to combine both into the same setting; with Shiny Happy People unphased by the massive death and destruction behind them.

This is my own site. It has a few of the many WTBTS publication illustrations. A source of controversy, I have always asserted that the WTBTS has sanctioned hidden and subliminal images to be introduced into the artwork. Judge for yourself . . .

I actually looked at your site Corvin some of those are pretty cool. Though I'm sorry to burst some of the nepharious sub-text behind all the letters found in the illustrations but from what I heard from a friend of mine who worked at Bethel (who had a friend in the art department) a couple of artists used to sink their initials into every illustration they did that way their JW relatives would know they were the ones who made the illustration. The WT doesn't let people take credit for writing articles or the wonderful illustrations, that usually drives people crazy not getting recognized for the work they do so they find a way to sign it without "signing it".

There is also a book called "Hour of Darkness" which features many of these illustrations. It is available at:

Yes, thank you. I would agree that this may very well be the case. The recurring "E" is what I have been most curious about, however. It has been seen in varioius pieces that do not seem to be from the same artist, based only on the difference of style and technique used. Not an authority here.
