Cross-dressing (XJW)Texas Republicans gone wild Highlighted text mine.
An obscure Texas House race became slightly more interesting this week when voters learned that one of the candidates, conservative businessman and former Republican Party chairman Sam Walls, makes a sweet transvestite.
"My opponent is using the private information in an attempt to intimate that I am a homosexual, which I am not," said Walls, whose campaign Web site promises that he will "defend the small-town, pro-family values the people of our area share."
Photos of Walls have been circulating among Texas Republicans for several days, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. They were discovered when a single-wide mobile home rented to Walls was repossessed for non-payment of rent.

On Wednesday afternoon, some of the photos reached the Internet, published by an anonymous GeoCities user:
Walls vows to stay in the race and has received at least one "you go girl!" from a local politician. "I don't have a problem with cross-dressing," said County GOP Treasurer Roy Giddens, Jr. "There are lots of them. People think J. Edgar Hoover was one of the greatest Americans that ever lived. He was a cross-dresser."
