Jesus Baptism

Does anyone know what Jesus age was when he got baptized by John the Baptizer?

I was baptized at 12 years old and now feel that I wasn't old enough to truly understand what I was doing. (I had several friends being baptized and wanted to be baptized at the same time). I don't believe in infant baptisms and don't think that Jesus was just a child when he got baptized. If the witnesses are claiming to follow Jesus footsteps then why would the allow children (even ones who could answer "the questions") to be baptized? That is another thing. I don't remember Jesus reviewing any questions before dedicating his life to God. The questions almost seem to me to be a test not of whether you are ready to make that sort of committment but rather a test of whether you have memorized the JW teachings or not.....

    Any thoughts on this?

Jesus was 30 when he was baptised.

I was baptised at 17, and that was viewed old to be getting baptised. Its funny how a young teenager would be considered mature enough to dedicate their life to god, but not mature enough to dedicate their life to a person in marraige.

I was baptizedwhen I was 8 years old. My mother told me I could go swimming in a BIG swimming pool. Neet O! I was trying to swim, but a big guy grabbed me and dunked me under the water and told me to get out of the pool. It was an Assembly.

desib77: I too was baptized at the age of 12, and for the same the same reason than you: my friends (and my sister who was 10) were getting baptized.

I fully agree: 12 is way too young to commit to something as serious as this. I would even say that 18-19 years old is also too soon for some people, as they are still unsure about many things in life...

They probably go along with younger ones being baptized when they need the numbers to go up, instead of down. I had a nephew baptized at the age of eleven and he totally rebelled when he was in his late teens. Bug

Do any raised Joe Wits remember as a young person when someone would ask you, "So when are you going to get baptized?" And you would reply, I dunno, I dont thinl I ready. And they would reply you mean your not ready to save your life! Or your not ready to know this is the truth?

Talk about making one feel guilty and jumping into something they are not ready for! They might as well have said, your not ready to drink this magic sweet kool aid punch!?

When Jesus was baptized what exactly landed on his head?

Was it a seagull or a ostrich?
