My DIL has begun a "book study" with a group of ladies each Thursday Pm and they study a chapter in this book "The Purpose Driven life". by Arthur Warren. I went to their website http://www.purposedrivenlife.com/index.asp and am checking it out. It all seems harmless, but i am very wary of things after JWS. Anyone read this or have any knowledge of this?

I have "A Purpose Driven Church" by the same author, but haven't got the book you refer to.
He's enthusiastic, I'll give him that, but he's not pushing a cult

A co-worker has given me that book, and wants me to read it; I have not opened the book yet, and since I have now quit that job and want little if anything to do with that particular co-worker, I doubt I will look into it.

Wednesday,
I have read the book and I did find it harmless and helpful. What is did was reinforce many of the questions that I already had about Christ and grace and acceptance of myself- something I am struggling with! My mother-in-laws church was studying it and she gave me a copy. I still enjoy going back and reading!

Text Book! Yes a text book on how to full 317 pages based on the overly simplistic theme of," God made you for a purpose and you need to find out what it is." That's the whole book. See, I saved you having to read that mess! I watched Rick's video and it gave me a headache. Watch Mr. Rogers for eight hours and you will get the same kind of headache!
This is emotion driven drivel!
Rich Warren is either looking to buy a yacht to sail around the world on, or he really believe this silliness. So he is a crook or worst, a big goof! Either way I don't want anything to do with him!
In my opinoin Rich's book is as big a waste of good trees as the WatchTower's crap! Maverick
