Holy Bible, Kings James Version, The New Testament has the words of Christ in Red.Who decided what words should be put in Red, and how have they come to this decision? This has always interested me, could it be all hear-say information,or otherwise?

men wrote the bible, men edited the bible, men published the bible, and men decide what is highlighted -- so let us cut through the crap and accept this

Several translations have the words of Christ in red. I'm not sure who was behind the decision, but it does make for a nicer looking page.

Red letter editions, as they are often referred to, were done to show Jesus words as quoted. This is done because some people want them set apart for easier reading, and believe it or not, some only want to read what Jesus said, and not the commentary of the Bible writer. When you read only what Jesus actually said, you get a different picture then you do with the added commentary by the writer. I am not sure how long this has been done, but at least since the time of red ink.
