    Hi Everyone,

This is the only way I can get the word out that Justin and I
each have a parent in University Hospital Intensive care units
at the moment. One in my home state, one in his.

My father had a brain aneurism 12 days ago and after brain surgery, and many long nights seems to be stable. He has a long way to go in his recovery however and is still in the Neuro ICU. We may not know for some time if he will be left with a mental deficiency from the aneurism.

Then, last night at 11 pm we were at a hotel near the hospital where my Dad is, (I haven't been home since this all started) we got a call saying that Justin's Mom was in emergency surgery from a ruptured artery. They had to replace her blood volume four times, and she is now stable, but with a long way to go. She is on a vent, but understands what is going on around her and recognizes family.

We went straight from one hospital to the airport, to another hospital and now I am out East with no idea how the hell I got here or
    when this insanity will end.

This is the reason I am not answering e mail. I don't know when I'll have access to a computer in the upcoming weeks, this is the first time I've had access in nearly 2 weeks.

My thoughts are with you all and just thinking of many of you has
helped me to cope with the total insanity of nearly losing two parents
in 10 days time, in different states, with a long way to go until either of them is out of the woods.

    Love to all,
    Es

OHH I'm so sorry *hugs*, I know how hard it is to see loved ones suffering and you must be frazzled between the two. I hope it all works out, and make sure YOU get your rest!!

Hi Esmerelda, I just wanted to say that we are with you and I would like to offer you my support during this time becuase I know how very hard it must be for you. My grandmother had a brain aneurism two years ago and even though I didn't know her well, it was a time of endurance with no support whatsoever from the congregation. I'm not saying that all Jehovah's Witnesses don't know how to offer comfort but I think it's more realistic to say that you will get more support here. Many, Many hugs for you and I really hope everything turns out well. We are here for you.

    Preston.

Hugs to you Essie. I have had two close relatives in the hospital too. The stress is unbelievable. I thought at first it was your Mom, and knew that would blow you away. I don't look forward to that time with mine either. Since we both have 'special' Mom's, I would feel for you.

Anyway, we are all here for you. I find it amazing how much stress we can actually handle, and stay sane.

    Es,

I'm sorry to hear about yours and Justins' parents. As you said though. It's a long road to recovery, once they are out of the woods. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

    peace,
    somebody
