stephenw20, (crossroads, can you please pass this on to stephen if he's no longer on-line? I haven't seen him post in a LONG time.)

I called the Charitable planning office today and asked the woman who answered to connect me to the Do Not Call office. She didn't know what I was talking about and said, "You mean don't call you on the phone?" I told her that no, I mean I don't want any JWs knocking on my door for any reason. I don't want them here, period. She asked me what state I'm calling from and said she would connect me. A man answered and I asked if this was the Do Not Call office. He didn't know what I was talking about either so I explained to him that I do not want any JWs at my door. He then connected me to another office after asking me what state I was calling from. Another man answered and I explained again what I wanted, adding that I have to teens at a very impressionable age and I don't want any JWs trying to get them to become members of their sect. I don't want them at my door, or in my house. He asked me my name and my address, which I gave him. He repeated it back to me to make sure he had my name and address right and he then said ,"OK, I'll notify the congregation." That was the end of the conversation. He hung up right after saying that.

Thank you for telling me about the Do Not Call office. Somehow, I don't think there is one though. The first 2 people I spoke to didn't know what I was talking about when I asked to be connected to the Do Not Call office.

I said I don't want JWs at my door trying to persuade my teens into becoming members of their sect. That has nothing to do with having peace with JWs. It has to do with my responsibility, as a parent, to protect my childrens' lives. I don't expect you to understand that.

Somebody----What you went thourgh is about what Steve
told me he did. He seemed to think that there was different
offices for different states. He seemed unsure if it works
either because congragation is notified(?) but the society
or local brothers never do acknowledge your request.

Somebody---I talked to Steve yesterday all is well for him.
Funny he didn't ask what is going on at the broad he usally does.
So he is either lurking or doesn't see it as a safe and peaceful
place to grow anymore. Hmmmm-wait a second part of last
sentence is the way I feel. Steve is lurking or has outgrown
us all, in a good way. I'll tell him you asked about him.

molesters is WICKED; seems like that is what Somebody is
trying to do protecting her youngsters. One more thing you dumb ass why is it that if you see Stephen's name you come runnin' . FYI-Fred, Steve is married. Go whispher sweet

Thank you for the update on Stephen. I'm happy that he has grown in a good way, although I do miss his contributions here. ( not to mention he was one of my favorite scorpios here! ) Glad to hear he is doing well. I know his situation is very painful. I understand the way you feel too. This place isn't always peaceful, but that's understandable, considering how many are here. Love and peace back to the both of you.
