About money at the chilean branch office of the WT

Hi dear friends.
As maybe you know, I'm an elder at one of the congregations in Santiago of Chile, and all the body of elders received a letter from the branch office saying that if the congregation has some money in a current account or so they would send it to the branch. In june 2003, a letter about the contributions (donations) said that the money coming from all the congregations every month were so little (few), and they were worried about what are the publishers doing with their money. This means that the chilean branch of the WT has some economical problems. if you can read spanish, read the letter below:

So that's what it all boils down to. How about asking 'mother headquarters' in NY for a little dough?!!!
God only knows they're swimming in it, now that they sold some key property recently.

And yet they claim to be superior to the churches of "christendom" since they don't pass a collection plate or basket. Another reason why I WISH my stepkids would open their eyes...
