Summer is now here, and there are *fleas* in my carpet! I de-flead the cats, but it appears it was too late. Any non-toxic ways to de-flea the carpet? This is the first time I've had them in the carpet, usually just on the cats or in the yard. If I can't find an effective non-toxic way, may have to just bomb the house.. sigh..

oh man.. that is no fun.. we got fleas once not from our own animals but the animals of a 'sister' who was taking care of our son (day care)... and they would bite me.. we had to bomb the house to get rid of them but quick!

How about products w/cedar in them? Also I hear from hippy friends that pennyroyal oil is a natural deterent. Hmm and in the past I have used boric acid and seven dust (which is a bit nasty) but it works.

We put frontline on the dogs and cured our flea problem in a couple of days...nothing works better. I never have put anything in the carpet or furniture. We are flea free. I do spray the lawn once a week with Cutter to keep down the mosquitoes, ants and fleas
