Hi! My Name is Ann, and I'm originally from Armenia. My mom and me moved to USA 2 years ago, leaving my grandmother alone in Armenia. She is a Jehovah's witness and have been activly visiting the meetings of the Jehovah witnesses's community in there. Now she is seriously sick and needs constant care and my mom and I are the only relatives she has. We cannot move her to USA because of our financial and immigrational situation in here. If there is a way You can and are willing to help please contact me at: [email protected] ! We live in Sacramento, CA. I called the community there and they told me to find the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in New York, I couldn't fine any contact information of them, could You help me with that too? Thank You! :) If You help us, my beloved granma will be able to join her only family she has, which is You and We :) Thank You one More Time! :)
REQUEST!!!

Ah, this is a difficult time for you. The JW probably will not help. I'm sorry. This is not a JW site, rather, an exJW site.
I sincerely hope you can get some help. This sounds like a difficult situation for all.

alyona, you might want to write to the website for the Watchtower Society. I do not know if they will help but you can try:

Euphemism
I'm afraid that, as Talesin mentioned, the JWs aren't generally very good at helping with that sort of thing. If you want to try and call the headquarters, however, the number is 718- 625-3600. They're located in Brooklyn, NY.
Best of luck!

Hi, Alyona. Like the others, I seriously doubt that the JW's will be of any help. However, there may be other humanitarian organizations or individual who can help. I don't know who they are, but doing a search on Google or other search engine might lead to something.
I have a friend who is half Armenian. If you would like to meet her, contact me. I live within a few hours' drive of Sacramento.

Below is the link to The Armenian Relief Society. Contact them. Even if they can only offer limited assistance, maybe the can refer you to someone who can give you the help you need. Good Luck.

When I worked at Bethel, we received hundreds of these requests every week. Mostly from Nigeria and the former Communist Bloc countries. 99.9% of them proved to be a hoax or a fraudulent attempt to get financial aid from people who may be nieve and/or gullable.
This may be a very sincere request. I just find it too familiar to all those I have received in the past. One would think someone would check out a site a little first and realize this is not a pro-JW site. But many here are still very generous and helpful which can make us easy prey for scams. (Anyone want to live on an island? )
If this is legit, this person there are other means for her to get help. I'd recommend the Armenian consulate as a good place to start.
Just consider this a voice of caution.

Hi Ann!
After about 20 years in the JW cult, I am now an atheist.
Here are some telelphone numbers you can call:
Patterson, NY number: 845-306-1000
phone number in Brooklyn is (718) 560-5000; (718) 625-3600
J. R. Brown, telephone: (718) 560-5600
phone calls are recorded.
I will predict that the WTS will do absolutely NOTHING to help you, but give it a shot - all you have to lose is your religion!
Be sure to come back and let me know if I was wrong -- or if I am right, we can tell you some more truely amazing things about the WTB&TS.
Trust us- we're "apostates."
