I bought my copy from Amazon as well. It's a looooong book, much longer than I expected

There might be, somewhere on the net, PDF chapter files from an earlier edition of Crisis of Conscience.

But downloading the book for free does not help Ray Franz, the author.

The book is not that expensive ($18.95 for hardback, $14.95 for softcover), so I recommend going to Commentary Press to order it.

Also, ordering the book insures you get the latest edition (Fourth edition, Revised and Updated - May, 2002)

Definitely get this book. You have no idea how amazed I was to find my elder husband reading CoC... He told me later that it was the organization wide hypocrisy (including local KH's) which were confirmed in CoC, that opened his mind and heart to the evil cult control ot the WTBTS. And still today the r/f are placated with lies. It's a good long read and (I may be wrong) it also gets you on the road to reasoning!
