    G'day all,

Downunder all the circuit overseers and district overseers are in Bethel for a special 10 week-long school these past few weeks. Riveting stuff is being discussed like Watchtower prophecy!!! The Borgmeisters want to make sure that the correct interpretations are being passed on to the R&F......or do they simply want to make sure the travelling overseers understand it all!!!!

For those of you who thought we had seen the last of the "Daniel's Prophecy" book, forget it! It's being used at the School but can you imagine why all the travelling Overseers need to watch a "bible study" in the "Daniel's Prophecy" book? Next week they turn their attention to the two "Isaiah's prophecy" books.

But you know what this also means? No C.O visits for a while anywhere in Oz!!!! They're all at Denham Court.

So, that brings us to this weekend's poll topic:

A knock at the door on Wednesday evening means:

    1. Avon calling!

    2. The Mormons.

    3. the circuit overseer visit!

    4. the elders want to get my report

    5. the elders want to get me to go to more meetings

    6. the elders want to get me to go in field service more

    7. the elders don't like my kids

    8. I'm in trouble with the elders

    9. the police

    10. the neighbors telling me I've left my car lights on!

    11. my girlfriend

    12. my boyfriend

    13. the elders wanting to know if I'm still doing "it"

    14. Noone - it was the wind blowing!

    15. Other (please detail)

So, get your responses in. Enquiring minds want to know!!

    Enjoy.

    Cheers, Ozzie

    2. The Mormons.

haven't seen jw's here on this street in 2 years. i know they are around, but they don't ever seem to be when i am.

however i see more mormons in the city and on my street than i ever see jw's.

    Hi Ozzie great post!!

I would choose 8. mind you I am always in trouble anyway

It seems that this is the material from the MTS course with additional material.

Just another way to keep tight control on the R and F.

As I am sure you realize, the GB know that that the local BOE's take more notice of what a CO says that what is in written directive format, so methinks that the GB are desperate to get the CO's "onboard" and singing off the same songsheet.

Kind Regards to you and Mrs Ozzie

    Cas

A knock at the door on Wednesday evening means:

    1. Avon calling! Avon doesn?t call at doors here any more, too dangerous. Few people are home during the day and going at night alone, mostly in the dark, is to scary. Occasionally, I will find a catalog in a clear plastic bag hung over the door knob.

    2. The Mormons. (In our area they call mostly on the weekends)

    3. the circuit overseer visit! (we are too long gone)

    4. the elders want to get my report (after 2 years?!)

    5. the elders want to get me to go to more meetings (too scared of me)

    6. the elders want to get me to go in field service more (see #5)

    7. the elders don't like my kids (no kids, not even a dog)

    8. I'm in trouble with the elders (have been all my life)

    9. the police (one of my friends stopping by to talk shop)

    10. the neighbors telling me I've left my car lights on! (park in a garage, too bad)

    11. my girlfriend (don?t have one)

    12. my boyfriend (definitely don?t have one, I?m happily married)

    13. the elders wanting to know if I'm still doing "it" (making their life miserable? You bet any time I can)

    14. Noone - it was the wind blowing!

(BINGO, we have terrific wind and it hits the front door like a brick)

    15. Other (please detail) We have lived here 3 years. The door has been knocked on by Mormons, a Lutheran deacon from the nearby church twice, our neighbors to see how they can help us after Irrev?s heart attack, and various workmen we have hired to do stuff around the place. Besides the in-laws for family dinners and events, the foot traffic has been sparse.

    15. Other. Haven't seen hide nor hair of JWs nor Mormons so far. The only ones who knock on my door are friends. I'd love to leave it at that.

    15. Other. It's either a neighbour, or someone's gotten into the building and is canvassing!

GF, can I be your neighbour? I could use one right now.

Most likely #10, or it could be one of Dave's employees, coming for a draw on their pay.

Usually someone coming to our door on a Wednesday night is expected, unless we left the lights on. Hahaha.
