Borg. Requests Old Kingdom Ministry's????

I have just been informed that the borg. requested that certain dated KM's be handed in to the congregations. (about 1yr ago?)
Was this request made in ALL the congregations?? If yes, did the society give any reasons for such a bizzare request?
The elders that dealt with this MUST surely of wondered WHY.
I would be grateful for any information regarding this.......many thanks in advance.
