Devil's Lake.
A renovated dance hall out in the countryside, beside the glorified slough called Devil's Lake. The Edmonton congregations use it for their Special Assemblies and so on. I noted the renovations that the WTBTS has made since they bought the property.
The large picture windows framing the lake have been framed off. There is no direct view of the lake from the convention seating, only the stage. I am guessing that there are administration offices behind the stage, so it would be the guys in charge who get the view. There is a large, sloping lawn leading from the building to the lake. It looked to me that it would be great place to put some picnic tables and casual seating.
But of course there is none. They did keep the firepit by the lakeshore, however. Then there is the chain link fence.
The chain link fence runs right along the shoreline, preventing, I suppose, unsuspecting witnesses from falling in.
Falling in to Devil's lake.

Can't imagine any open spaces with the fact that they are so close minded....
