The decision to continue the "one nation, under God" phrase in the Pledge remains as is--for now. Newdow cannot sue because he does not have sufficient custody of the child to qualify as her legal representative. The Court, however, sidestepped the question of separation of church and state. So I guess this will pop up again someday.

Soon, very soon. This won't go away. The ACLU is my best guess for who will take up the cause next.

Oh, I'm so re-assured! Life would cease to exist without "under God" in the pledge. Now if we could only pray in school, all of America would qualify for the "annointed".
