I have tried looking up information on how long people can hold their breath. I searched the internet profusely but wound up with barely any information concerning it. I even signed up with Guiness World Records Online and still didn't find any info.
So, if anyone knows any information regarding what the average breath held is and what the longest breath held was I would greatly appreciate it.
For now, I'll be holding my breath.
Dang, I could only last 1 minute 10 seconds......So it's gotta be longer than that. How 'bout anyone else? How long can you hold your breath?
It is a scientific fact, and there's lots of data to support that Jehovah's Witnesses have the ability to hold their breath for upto 80 or 90 years.
It looks like the world record is 6 minutes and 21 seconds.

Else...ever see that movie Deep Blue? Pretty good flick. Free divers go down some 100 meters...I think the current attempts are going for 102 meters..I watched some diving show in between my fishing shows the other day.

I've been able to hold my breath for 4 min 50 sec. I think I'll try to beat the record.
Just be careful! It may be a good idea to have someone else around in case you pass out.....

My brother and I spot eachother. In order to accomplish it that long you have to take long deep breaths for 15 minutes. This allows your body to get the oxygen flow it needs. And so then you're able to hold your breath for pretty long.
