A great call today

I have a friend of mine, who I have not talked to much for the last 5 years or so. Nothing bad happened between us, just time goes by, and one loses touch a bit. I have known him for probably close to 14 years or so, and I have always considered him one of my favorite people. We have always had a great time together.

This friend also had grown up a witness, and though we had talked about problems within the WTS we never flat out told each other that we thought it was all crap.

Well I got a call from him today, and we had a great conversation. He is totally out of the organization, along with his lifelong witness wife, and even his parents! His dad used to be an elder too. Not just out and faded, but out knowing what the WTS really is all about. They have seen the light!

I am so excited! My wife and I along with he and his wife will be getting together very soon to discuss all that we found out, and just enjoy each others company. It will be great knowing we have nothing to hide, and can enjoy our friendship for exactly what it is: friendship.

Though I have other friends that have from time to time faded, and sometimes go back, never have we felt the freedom to discuss what many of us do here on this board.

Just thought I would share a good thing that happened today.

That's good news. Now we are seeing whole families leave like we used to see joining. It's beyond interesting to me. I like to hear people can leave with a moment of clarity. Then they never go back.

That is so great. I'll never forget the night on this board, when one of the posters said he knew me, but couldn't reveal who he was yet. I finally figured it out, and it is a great feeling to learn that someone you liked so much, and respected very much, had also learned the truth.

Yes, Gary Buss now that you bring it to my attention. It's really nice to see some whole families get out Dodge (so to speak). Very cool...

I'm thrilled too, that I have made contact with at least one woman on here that I remember from so many years ago while I was in the J.W.'s . It is really neat.

We are planning to get together in the near future and I'm just pleased as punch about that.
