To me, Independence day not only means the traditional holiday, but it evokes a feeling of freedom in general in all aspects of life. So many of us were imprisoned religiously in an environment that took away our dignity, and freedom, and this day is a good day to reflect on life, and freedom in general, freedom from ANYTHING that has stopped us from living our full potential, and realizing that when we want to live our own lives bad enough, we can make that happen.
