A friend of mine, Father Tim Vakoc (pronounced Vakash) was severely injured in Iraq. Apparently his side of the HMMWV to the brunt of an IED. Here's his web site. If you pray, please keep him in your prayers. It actually happened in June, I'm just now hearing about it.

I'm not a pray-er, but I will certainly think happy thoughts for your friend and his family. So sad really. I hope everyone finds the strength they need to have a speedy recovery.

Now, that is a thought I can agree with.let us pray for every soldier, their families, all people experiencing war and oppression, for freedom everywhere, and for Peace as God desires it for all of creation.
I hope your friend fully recovers soon.
