Hi Sue: You finally commented on my last post to you, although you did not address your response to anyone directly, thanks anyway.
You said,
I keep telling you. I am not a Jehovah's Witness. I have no arguments to offer.
Actually, other than an uncertain comment by another poster, you have not 'kept telling me' anything about whether you are a JW, were a JW, or never a JW. This is the first confirmation I have seen on this. And, your concluding statement that you 'have no arguments to offer' suggests to me that possibly you may never have been a JW.
So, Sue, why did you open your first post here name-calling former JWs with the label 'Apostate?' Are you in sympathy with the Watch Tower religion? Have you, or are you studying the Bible with them?
If not, then what do you know about the Watch Tower religion? Are you aware of thier blatant false prophecies? Are you aware of their cultish and abusive nature? Are you familiar with the excessive control over JW lives they have? Are you aware of teachings and policies that have cost many JWs their lives, their families, their very futures?
Most importantly, do you understand why so many have left that religion, perhaps as many as 2,000,000 to 3,000,000 which represent between 40% and 50% of their current membership? Do you understand the serious harm caused to so many because of their fraud, deceit, and cover-ups? Do you understand the serious impact that their policies have in shielding child molesters? For example, I am just one JW (now former Elder) who turned in a JW child molester to the civil authorities. The authorities were unable to make a case, not because there wasn't already a file on the molester, but because new JW victims were frightened by their parents and JW Elders into keeping quiet so as to protect the organization's image.
The reason some of us took you to task is because you act much like a JW. You make generalized allegations and engage in name-calling, but you provide no substance, and you do not respond to challenges and questions presented to you in any serious fashion.
I personally am not emotional about this, but I am simply trying to ascertain the type of person I am dealing with when I read your posts. If you are just wanting to provide some harassment for your own ammusement, then that is something we can do nothing about. But, you might consider the impact on the tens of thousands of viewers who lives have been shattered by the Watch Tower religion. You might consider the pain and years of healing it takes for many, if not most, to recover from the effects of a cultish religion. You might consider some level of compassion for them, if not for me. - Amazing
