Remember when something good would happen to you, and another JW would say, "Well, Jehovah has surely blessed you!" When I was on my way out, that really used to piss me off since I knew it was all crap. No, Jehovah didn't bless me by letting me find five bucks on the ground.

My mother told me, long after I left that Jehovah must still be blessing me. I didn't turn into an AIDS carrying, alcoholic, drug addict single father.

Any of you remember those times when Jehovah had apparently blessed you? How did he do it?

Oh yeah, Jehovah Blessed Me? all right!!

The thing is, I had to work my lily white @$$ off for every single Blessing? I received.

    Go figure.

    Love, Scully

He's blessed me more since I've been out of the borg then when I was in it. Most recently he blessed me with a new car, being accepted into a major college ONLY 10 years after graduating high school (I know he's the only one that got me in there), and just many other things that every day I have to thank him.

My question to one of the elders recently was how come Jehovah is still blessing me if I'm supposedly so bad and unrepentant and evil and NOT a JW. His answer was God still makes it rain on good and bad. But my thoughts are since JW is the only true religion why does he continue to bless people that are not a JW?

I wanted to work part time and after 2 years i was able to have a 4 day week work. Surely it was the bleesing of Jehovah since i wanted to use the time for "his work" - FS or visiting elderly sisters.

BUT it turned out it really was a blessing - because i took this time to study (on the internet) and this made me free.

    To adapt the old saying,

"The harder I work, the luckier more blessed I get."

Oh yes, I received so many blessings. He blessed me with ten years of loneliness, when I dumped my non-JW girlfriend, who loved me more than life itself, because she was of the devil.

I was blessed with a minimum wage job flipping burgers, after I put kingdom interest first and did not pursue a higher education.

But the real blessing came when I learned the truth about the "Troof" ... and I was blessed with freedom, blessed with a wonderful women by my side, blessed with two kids, blessed with unconditional love by my new spiritual family.

So if you're "wicked" or "bad" and you are having a productive, enjoyable life, it's because God gives sunshine and rain to everyone.

But if you're "wicked" and are having problems, it means Jehovah has withdrawn his blessing.

Their doctrine stretches to fit every imaginable situation. Their main doctrine is that they're right and everyone else is deficient.

I would hear that every time I got another dead end job that would crap out after a few months while pioneering. Once I got a job I actually wanted, I started hearing "Satan's just tempting you!"

I prefer to think of it as God tempting me. As Acts tells us, If this is from God, It will endure, and so far it has.
