The guy on the top picture reminds me of Mr.Bean.
Why was the airplane a mistake? Sorry, don't know my aviation stuff too well.
I think its got something to do with the fact that square windows and planes don't mix.
We All Make Mistakes....
Not me, i nevir maik mistakes i'm perffect/
That's a pretty sharp looking Edsel.
Why was the airplane a mistake?
I believe that is the de Havilland Comet - the first commerical Jet airline developed by the British in the late 40's, years before Boeing came out with their successful line. During the first couple of years flying, they had a couple of crashes due to structural problems. By the time they worked them out, Boeing was already on to the scene.
That's right about the de Havilland Comet. The square windows were a weak point. Eventually they made them round but had lost the lead to Boeing.
The Edsel, known to the Brits as the Ford Horsecollar -or Ford Vagina - a non-seller with terrible build quality.
The other is the C 5, an electric mono-car that flopped mightily. The steering bars were held under the knees by the driver.
More flops, anyone?
Englishman.
Flops? Sure.
That works though.
It's start a thread Wednesday!!
