Meditation: What does God promise to those who lift their needs to Him?
Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
Some may look at this verse and say that this is what it will be like in heaven: that we have to wait to get there to receive this promise. It this what the rest of the Bible suggest? By asking this question I am not saying that this verse is wrong I am just saying that we can have it now also. In Daniel 10:12 the angel told Daniel that as soon as he set his heart to understand he was on his way with the answer. Daniel set his heart to understand as soon as he started reading the word to see when the Children of Israel would return to the Promised Land. Daniel 10:12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. This tells me that this promise is for now too. If is worked for Daniel under the old covenant how much more should it work for us today?
