    Just to set the scene.

In 1996 I suffered badly from depression (surprise) which led to me in the December of that year being told by my wife, I had to leave the home. Later I discovered this was under the direction of the Elders who considered me a "spiritual danger" to the family. Didn't matter that I had made one suicide attempt. Move to another congregation in next town. Visited home to see children regularly, three of which eventually came to live with me. By 1999 discovered the truth about the WT nad stopped attending meetings. My wife stopped talking or seeing me. In September 2001 I disassociated from the JW's, after 30 years as one. Also have been active in making known to others about the JW's. Consquently my JW wife and two JW daughters were now forbidden to have anything to do at all with me, I haven't spoken to or seen them since. It also meant I couldn't so and visit my two youngest who were not JW's, and according to them never will be. So they come to me now.

Last week my two youngest asked if they could come to me for the day as their house was being used by the Circuit Overseer on Friday 13th. They were meeting for field service there and he was having lunch there. My thought was if they are letting the CO use the house my wife must be in "good standing" in the congregation. Knowing my wife she probably started getting things ready all week. You would think Christ himself was coming.

Anyway my two youngest came again to see me yesterday. I asked how it had gone. They said there mother has been going on about how pleased the CO was. He praised her on how well she was coping. She was an example to the rest of the congregation. How she has stayed close to Jehovah's organisation etc etc. Pity she was still married to an apostate.

Somehow I don't see much chance of reconciliation now.

Also she has refused to come to her sons wedding next February, because he is DA'd and it will be in a church. But her brother and his wife, both JW's are coming. Her sister a JW is coming and maybe her JW mother will be. They all live in different areas.

Dude, that really sucks. Typical WT approach to mental health issues, though. If prayer and increased book selling, uh I mean, Field Service, don't work, then YOU must have done something to bother your conscience to the point that you are depressed. Therefore, you are 'spiritually dangerous'. What a crock of shit. Despite the damage done to your family, at least be glad that you and some of your family are out. Hang in there, tell the CO to go back to his window washing business and to kiss your ass...lol.

Actually it's the other way around. As to catch them with their own words.

They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women

This is why I don't feel sorry for the GB who makes these stupid con troll-laws. This is one of their ways to really screw
up families. Where in the bible do you find that husbands and wives are a danger to each others spirituality?
    Crap. That's what it is.

They don't care, not about you, me, your wife, your or my kids, just about Jehover & his Borganization.

I feel for you dude. I know.

    Looks that way, huh?

Folks outside the WTS have great difficulty coming to terms with how it's possible.
I get the strangest of looks from my friends, on the rare occasions they bring the subject up.
A few of them are seeing the shunning first-hand, now, though. Reality bites, in the 21st Century...

How the hell do they have the balls to say this when they deliberately broke up your family!?!?!?!?

Sue them for alienation of affection. You have a great case, especially since they told her to kick you out as a "spiritual danger. Sue them for millions of dollars.

((Gordy)) I'm sorry you haven't seen two of your kids for such a long time. I'm curious - are you still suffering from depression since leaving the religion?
