Please respond to Amazinig's survey under the title "Poll Elders vs Molesters"
All you have to do is type in a number, that's it. It you didn't know any JW child molesters type in a zero. If you knew some JW child molesters, type in the number you knew. It is simple as that. You don't have to explain anything.
Amazing will be home tonight or early tommorow. Let's surprise our friend with a good turnout.

When I read your post I involuntarily blurted out "Holy Shit". Sorry folks, couldn't help it. Got a question for you. How many congregations did it take to produce this number of molesters. That number could be very useful for Amazing's analysis.
That's a precise description, except for the Holy.

Cuts a little close to the bone for certain reasons, so I'll do it privately. My wife thinks the number is closer to 60. Tells you what wives can pick up ...

Maximus, that is very important info, but I can see where you'd think it could skew the analysis, for if others from those same congregations are reporting also, those same pedo's would get counted twice. Good thinking.

Hey, I'll bring this up over here so as not to divert the subject of Amazing's poll - straight numbers.
It's pretty well recognized (at least several of my therepists told me this) that a child who is molested by one person, runs a much higher risk of being molested by another.
If it runs in the family, an even higher risk of multiple offenders. No one really understands why - like invisible radar or something, eh? The molester seems to be able to sniff "used meat" - no insult to victims meant - they'll know what I mean.
Well, I grew up with a non-jw rapist, had the dubious opportunity to make the intimate acquaintance of his friends, and then damned if I didn't marry a jerk whose grandfather was a molester. After the old man's death, his neice found tapes of his conversations with little girls as he was molesting them. She had been molested by my first husband's father. This side of the damned family is crawling with them - and only one was a jw.
My point being - child molesters are everywhere. I know the poll is to find out how many are within the congregation, but just how much does that matter when compared to how many there are in society? Your own neighborhood?
To me, it really doesn't matter that much where they reside - in or out of the organization. It matters that they will continue to rape/molest kids.

Let's take the average and put it at 50. Now, how many congregations were involved? This might be a rough index of molesters per congregation.
