It has been sugested that I deal with the JW's from a differen angle. These are quite you gals who are visiting me. And indeed, when I stressed how God had comanded the making of the angels for the Ark, they said they would do some research this week on the Ark and its roll in worshiping. So in other words "Well go ask our elders". So what are some good ways to put doubt in their young minds concerning their elders? I think I may have mentioned that I believe that because of their ages, once I begin to ask questions that are too hard or really put doubt in their minds, mom is going to put an end to it. Mom sits out in the car while they come in! Im not concerned about only having maybe one more visit with them if this happens, I just want to be able to ask the best questions I can and make the best statements that I can.

Young Witnesses don't give a damn about the role of worshipping and the ark, whatever the hell you mean by all that. Sure, they're gonna do research, ask their elders, etc., but they've got you pegged already as a Bible-thumping nutcase who's missing the bigger picture. Visiting you and humoring your agenda = counting lots of time.
There is no sure way to get at young Witnesses, though I imagine the most relevant topic would have to do with sex, and when they can finally have it. But esoteric matters of Biblical interpretation? Really, that's the last thing they're going for.

That's a good idea, ruffian. Then you have a great chanse to explain why the old man with the stupid looking hat teaches what he does on the question of contraception.
Maybe you can explain why the Vatican owns shares in the Durex factories - who actually makes condoms. I'm sure there is a perfectly sane explanation.

Susan,
The best gift you can give young witnesses or young people in general is the gift of self esteem and self confidence.
Talk to them. Let them talk to you about their goals, dreams and interests in life. Encourage them to follow their bliss and offer to help them in any way you can.
Helping them understand that their dreams and goals matter will help them ward off dependence on a group of any kind for self fulfillment.

I'm with Joel. Show interest in them. Show them that you are good and kind and warm hearted and that not all in the "world" are evil and bad.
They will start to question deep within their hearts how they can possibly think that you being a good person should die, just because you are not a dub. It's a slow process, but you will plant the seed.
