    10/1/2004 WT, Page 7:

"One who is meek humbly accepts God's standards in all aspects of his personal life; he does not insist on going by his own views or by other people's opinions. He is also teachable, willing to be taught by Jehovah. The psalmist David wrote: '[Jehovah] will cause the meek ones to walk in his judicial decision, and he will teach the meek ones his way.' - Psalm 25:9; Proverbs 3:5, 6.

"Will you be among 'the meek' who will inherit the earth? By getting to know Jehovah and his will through a diligent study of his Word and by putting what you learn into practice, you too can look forward to inheriting an earthly paradise and living forever in it. - John 17:3. "

    ---------------------

So, to be taught by God is to be taught by JWs. What a crock!

he does not insist on going by his own views or by other people's opinions (Including the WTS's opinions!!!). He is also teachable, willing to be taught by Jehovah.

It sounds like they are saying that you should be meek enough to follow the bible and not the WTS... if not then the WTS is being quite presumptuous and rushing ahead of the word of gawd!

    w99 1/15 p. 5 Determined to Follow God?s Way of Life ***

Jehovah teaches his people how to walk in his ways. He does this through the Bible, "the faithful and discreet slave," and the holy spirit.

w96 7/15 pp. 16-17 Maintain Unity in These Last Days ***

As part of Jehovah?s family of worshipers, we maintain unity because all of us are "taught by Jehovah" and hold firmly to his revealed truth. (John 6:45; Psalm 43:3) Since our teachings are based on God?s Word, all of us speak in agreement. We gladly accept the spiritual food made available by Jehovah through "the faithful and discreet slave."

    w92 12/1 p. 8 The Blessing of Jehovah Makes Rich ***

Hence, Jehovah?s people have chosen to put the Kingdom first in their lives, and how blessed they are! They enjoy rich success in their work of making disciples. (Isaiah 60:22) They are taught by Jehovah, enjoying a ceaseless stream of spiritual good things provided through "the faithful and discreet slave."

Blondie has provided documentation of the WTBTS' illusuion that JWs are being taught by the Bible (first) and then the FDS. The reality is that JWs are not to believe the Bible "directly" but are to believe only the interpretation given by the FDS. The WTS' is very sly in the way they make statements that do not measure up to what they really mean.
