Excerpt from a note from a good friend: What I know about jw's I've learned from you except for the few kids that would come to our house and I would tell them I had an ex-jw friend and that they need to think about going to college because they have their whole lives ahead of them to make their own decisions about religion. Also, I said if they ever needed help going to college to come to my house and I would help them get financial aid and that my husband is a teacher and would make sure that they got whatever they needed in terms of educational advisement. Of course, after awhile, they stopped coming because after the teenagers, they started sending the middle-aged blank-staring jwmoooonie-eyed ones. But, I told those teenagers that they could make up their own minds about their lives as soon as they were 18. So, hopefully, they heard something from that experience I shared about you and going to college and growing their own minds!!!!
