I understand from one post some time back that someone begin to say that next week would be end of the world in a more or less private study.

Possibly carted off to a mental hospital.

Was they anyone in your congregation that had similiar `revelation'?

There was a smart/spiritual/sincere guy in mine that would come up w stuff from comprehensive studies of the ot. His last one was that if bush interfered w israels expansion, or protested in any way anything that israel did, then his presidency would suffer. That opinion was divine/biblical/spiritual to this guy. He also said to me that all of the palestinians could be thrown into the sea. He was a kind, loving guy, who got me to read ray franz. Different, eh?

Anyone that left the organization, in my opinion, had a divine revelation.

Yep, I remember after Ronald Regan was elected President, one elder declared that the Great Tribulation would begin "very soon" because the King of the North, (Santa Claus) the USSR would begin the pushing with the King of the South (Elvis), the USA and that it would bring about the Great Tribulation. He said he had just bought his last car. This was in what.......1984??

Not in my congregation, but the same hall which was the French, my mother-in-law attended. One of the elders, young guy in his 30s woke up one morning went tyo his study and began writing in Greek and Hebrew.

I mentioned this once before and noone believed me, and I suspecty no one will now, and I really don't care :) I'm just telling you what I know. He even had a private meeting with the Governing Body, what was said or done, I don't know.

But the guy speaks, reads and tranlates in these languages .. go figure!

Yep! Right in the middle of a prayer... first we all HEARD it.... then we all SMELLED it.

That is the Spirit of the LARD!

Elsewhere, that said it all, and unlike Jesus' baptism, all who heard it could understand it, the smell was just more

    spiritual annointment.

I remember this guy years back 1992 I think, was telling my wife and some other sisters that this system was going to go south, he just didn't believe it would last 2 more years and thats it folks.

Brown beans have brought out more revelations than any other vegetable. veggies reveal it all.

I knew someone who had extensive "proof" the system will end in 2005. He was using the lapse between Adam's creation and the appearance of Eve along with 1975 being the end of 6000 years. Even among a group of Witnesses, this guy is a real whack job. I feel terrible for his two young sons, whose father thinks the world will be destroyed in a year. They have an abnormal childhood, even by JW standards.
