If you're South Korea, you'd probably do the same.
They're taking a page from The Great Ronald Reagan's playbook. Stand up to your enemy, point as much destruction as possible his way then add more, and don't flinch. Ask the Soviets how that worked. Oh wait, they're not around anymore are they?
