I've heard that Bethellites there for many years get higher pay, anybody can confirm this? (I've heard close to $300/month)

Also, if they are to be a spiritual example to all.... then why do Bethellites work saturdays

instead of supporting local KH in preaching? (supposedly they get 1 sat off a month?)

That wasn't the case when I was there in the early 90's. There are always special circumstances, so maybe some of the families that are there get a larger chunk, but either way, its not a whole lot of money.

Good point about the Saturday service...most view it as they ARE doing their service on Saturday morning though, just a different aspect of it.

Everyone at Bethel while I was there received $120 (CDN$) per month.

Seniority or years in full time service did affect the amount placed into the PEA (Personal Expense Account) which amounted to about $300 per year for someone with 10 years seniority)/

Nethel used to calculate (late 80's) that the average Bethelite costs $5,000 - $6,000 per year, factoring in actual money paid to them plus the cost of having other Bethelites there to provide the various services.

    Damn cheap labour force.

Here in the US there must be job cutting in the plans, for there are drops in contributions.

Also, note that printing is being consolidated in these huge pieces of machinery in Walkill, NY
