Sounds like it. But can he still be in good standing? This story comes from Zambia and is entitled "It will be personal defeat if I leave Govt. before two terms, says Levy."

Interesting! He feels that he is commissioned by God to be President and God speaks to him.

"I vowed never to associate myself with politics and that is why I joined Jehovah's Witnesses," President Mwanawasa said. "But after seven years of abstinence, God spoke to me that you have not fulfilled the work I sent you in government for. I have come back to finish the work I was assigned to do. I am here until I finish two terms."

God might be ok with his involvement in Government but I doubt the "loving" Elders

and the WTS "Regional Insepctors" (CO's and DO's) will take kindly to this.

Interestingly he demands that the members of his MMD party be loyal to the party. So much for only being loyal to Jehovah.

Also, according to the article, he claims that his critics will suffer damnation by God.

Yes it would seem there is another lunatic on the loose.
