  Speaking of language, I was considering another recent thread, "why do we need a mediator" and it occured to me (again) that the term appears confused in jw context - the general usage reads more like "lawyer" containing some type of prejudged 'guilt' emphasis.

  There is so much confusing language utilised by the wtbts - a buffet of ill used words for meals of confusion ( jealousy=envy envy=covet worship=pay homage response-ablity=duty or accountability ) - to say "black is white" becomes a natural once you're able to rationalise in that type of language.

  This is kind of a game I like to play with JW words like this.

  Here is how you play. Take out your latest Watchtower. Every time you read:

  "apostate" cross it out and replace it with what it really means: = evil person who has chosen to follow satan instead of God.

  "One another" = Jehovah's Witnesses

  "Those related in the faith" = Jehovah's Witnesses

  Same with these words:

  When you see "We" write: YOU

  When you see "one" write: YOU (ie: "What would one you do when temped to smoke-- pray for help or give in to sin?"

  "expect" =believe

  "understand "= believe

  "rely" =believe

  "you can be sure " =believe

  "humbly accept" = believe

  "Satan's world" = all people who are not JWs

  "life-giving Bible knowledge" = the things writen in the WT and Awake

  "God's Laws" = Jehovah witness rules.

  "heart appreciation" =believe

  "Obeying God" = Obeying Jehovah Witness rules

  And it is very important that anytime you read:

  recall, imagine dwell on, keep in mind, consider, meditiate, look at, take in, pray, realize, study, learn, notice, examine, note, understand, sound reasoning........cross them out and write what they really mean: = THINK. (careful! There are lots of them! Don't miss any!)

  However, 'Think' means 'Think' too. Put a box around the work 'think' when you see it just to highlight it

  Anytime you read: true christians, lovers of God, Faithful and Descrete Slave, etc (you know more, I am sure) cross them out and write JEHOVAHS WITNESSES.

  Then, go back and read the 'new' article. The mind control is exposed!

  Translated example from the Live Forever Book page 218:

  "But How can you gain BELIEF in Jehovah Witness rules? You need to THINK, or think deeply about them. For example, f THINK: What difference does obeying Jehovah Witness rules really make? Then THINK ABOUT the lives of people who have ignored Jehovah Witness rules, such as the 19-year-old girl who wrote: "I have had a venereal disease three times. The last time it cost me my right to bear children because I had to have a hysterectomy." It is truly sad to THINK ABOUT all the trouble that is cause when people disobey Jehovah Witness rules."

  Wow! Disobey Jehovah's Witness rules and you will PAY! Freaky, hu? It is even more freaky when you read a whole article and it all about how and what to think..
