An old JW fried emailed me.
Couldn't help it. But this was my response...
Hey ****,
Hmmm, where to begin.
I guess I'll just give you the updates on the past year - the good and the bad.
1) **** and I are now divorced.
2) **** is now living in **** and she is remarried unscripturally.
3) She should have been disfellowshipped but she never was.
4) The elders didn't do anything to help our marriage.
5) I was never disfellowshipped, but none of the elders nor did any of the two CO's in the past two years bother to call on me despite repeated requests.
6) I am very happy and have found a beautiful new girl.
****. I love you dearly. But what can I say about this religion that I bought into when I was 18?
Right now I still go to the meetings every once in awhile. I'm pretty public in everything I do. But they won't disfellowship me.
The elders know they goofed with me.
I don't blame **** (my wife) at all. But the CO at the time didn't even show up when **** (my wife) said I was suicidal and requested a visit.
The Police came to my door before I was ready to hang myself.
My physician treated me... For FREE for my depression and gave me FREE medication.
But my spiritual doctors? They told me to take a hike.
That's why I'm able to openly live with a woman (everybody knows) and go to the meetings when I want and at the same time - stay in good standing with the congregation.
Elders won't touch me with a ten foot pole. Because they know they goofed and it's more embarrassing for them to bring anything up.
(That's it guys. Just get touchy sometimes)
Nothing like a "How are you doing?" to ram it up their a$$...

Sometimes you just have to call it the way it is, eh.

I enjoyed the answer to your letter!
What can anyone say after reading it?
You were not taken care of by the "spiritual shepherds"......
