Even by the standards of so-called subliminal messages, these are silly. There was a time when people would only see these images in the original pictures. Then someone got the idea of putting a mirror image of the picture next to the original to produce something like that seen in the ebay listing, which, unsurprisingly, is symmetrical but otherwise doesn't really look like anything except an upside-down picture of Jesus and its mirror image. You can just about imagine a face there but that's because (a) the axis of symmetry was chosen to give that effect and (b) humans are "programmed" to see faces everywhere. We think :-) looks like a face
