used to be transmitted in morse code long before verbal radio communications was possible.

wireless is nothing new, ask ITT

Amateur radio operators were required to learn the &^()^&% code.

    Any Amateur radio op here?

    FCC GROL here.

Going by memory, little rusty - haven't used it in a while, I made it out to be:

    one/in/trouble/for/mentioning/bush

    How about:

    Morse Code Translator

    --- -. . .. -. - .-. --- ..- -... .-.. . ..-. --- .-. -- . -. - .. --- -. .. -. --. -... ..- ... .... translated is:
"ONE IN TROUBLE FOR MENTIONING BUSH"

I was never good at translating the really fast 'coders. I could catch enough of the letters though to make out the gist of the messages. Once you miss one letter and mistake it for something else and your brain farts, it's hard to play catch up. Thank god for wireless + encryption.

i would rather read an a text file in ascii code. The requirements for amateur was to keep nonserious wanabe out of the loop.

faithfull to this site, wonder why the judge did not initiate his campagin (mat 24.:14) using morse code instead of waiting for voice broadcasting ((wbbr ?) to become reality,

i mean it is always possible to spin the topic to comply with Simon intentions.

I am not even sure what the GROL is used for nowdays.

I had/have the FCC Frrst Class, Ship Radar Endorsed, usa citizenship was required, not now required for GROL, it was hard to get.

And you could not touch a TV broadcasting transmitting facility without such a license, even if you were a licensed graduated electrical engineer from MIT.

I'm not sure what jobs require a GROL either. But there are a few industries that would like to see a prospective employee carry one. I have seen a few job postings in the past where one of the requisites was a GROL. Usually a GROL can take the place of an EE degree with employers. If you know the stuff on the GROL test, then you must have been trained somewhere, either in college or the military.
