Just thought I'd share a little diddy with ya'll! Today I put a wrap on my first DVD production. Just a short 14 minute presentation on some fisheries projects I've been involved in up in Alaska. While the experiance was a struggle, taking many digital photos and video clips and splicing them together then dubbing over the Ken Burns effected production an audio track, once it was done I was really dissapointed. It seemed too stilted with my audio sounding monotone as well as too technical. So I redid it! Threw away the script and winged it. Much better. I'll be persenting it at a fish culture conference in Victoria BC the first week of December so I'm pretty charged up about it. Most presenters use a power point, which is okay, but usually pretty boring after a few minutes. This really moves, like a good TV production.. thanks to a good friend with a Mac, I'm now a script writer, photographer, editor and publisher..
Yeah, IMovie!
