The scene outside my window is truly a delight.
Last night a light snow fell and the trees, barren of leaves, are now cloaked in white.
The sun reflects off the ground and everywhere there is light.
The air is calm, the sky cloudless blue.
Winter is right.

For last night a freezing rain fell
The wind in the trees kept my dog awake all night
Because the dark and the noise gave her a fright
Now she is snoring on the chair behind me
And the bone chilling cold is freezing my heinie
The windows need plastic, and the gutters need cleaned
In my humble opinion, winter is obscene...

The last few days in the "Banana Belt" of Colorado we have received record amounts of snow - 6 inches and record cold temperatures of 4 below zero. Usually it's in the 40's.
The snow is supposed to stay in the mountains as far as I'm concerned.
Zen let it znow. Im in montreal and no snow yet. It tried today, but melted. Personally, i like snow, especially those great big flakes as they are coming down. I got good tires this yr, for the first time, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

It rained like a monsoon today and we had 40 mph gusts of wind............but, it was soooo warm.......tonite I was walking across the bridge to my apartment and I heard geese in the sky above..........there was just that last little bit of light before total darkness sets in..........they quickly veered north and headed for the pond down the road from where I live..........just in time for total darkness.......whew!!!
